Cyclic Steam Stimulation (CSS)

A Cyclic Steam Stimulation (CSS) well bore uses heat to enhance the production of heavy oil. The CSS system uses a single well bore to provide alternating steam injection and oil production.

Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD)

A Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) well bore uses heat to enhance the production of heavy oil. The SAGD system uses individual well bores that simultaneously inject steam and produce oil. The injection well is drilled directly above the production well, allowing gravity to assist in the production.

Monobore (MBS)

A Monobore System (MBS) is a drilling and cementing practice that eliminates the need to run an intermediate casing string as its own procedure. The MBS is one long string casing from TD to surface, but only cements the upper porting of casing to the surface.
