Completion Expansion Joint

A Completion Expansion Joint (CEJ) is a tool manufactured using an inner and out tube to deliver expansion of a tubing or casing string while providing a seal. The CEJ will not allow torque to be transported through it.

Drilling Expansion Joint

A Drilling Expansion Joint (DEJ) is also a tool manufactured using an inner and outer tube to deliver expansion of a tubing or casing string while providing a seal. The DEJ will allow torque to be transported through at any opened position.

Separation Expansion Casing

A Separation Expansion Casing (SEC) is a tool manufactured using an inner and outer tube which are locked into a fixed position. Downhole tensile loads to the SEJ will disengage the lock and allow the SEC to perform the same functions as an CEJ.

Shared Expansion Joint

A Shared Expansion Joint (SEJ) is a tool manufactured using an inner and outer tube to deliver expansion of a tubing or casing string while providing a seal. The SEJ will allow torque to be transported through it only when it is in the closed position.
